We want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. In order to prepare you for your visit, here are some common questions our visitors ask.
What can I expect on my first visit?
On your Initial Evaluation, you will be seen 1 on 1 for an hour with Michelle. She will go through a thorough review of your medical history, listening to your concerns and answering any questions you may have. She’ll then perform an assessment along with movement/orthopedic screenings. A pelvic exam (either intervaginal or interrectal) may also be performed at the Initial Evaluation, however this is only performed with your consent. After performing the assessment, you will be informed of the findings and will work together with Michelle to help develop your plan of care so you can accomplish your treatment goals.
How long are follow up appointments?
Each visit is approximately 1 hour long.
I feel nervous about scheduling, is that ok??
Yes! That’s completely understandable. The pelvic floor is a part of everyone’s body, but something that very few actually talk about or acknowledge. You’d be surprised how many people are living with the same pelvic floor issues you are! Michelle’s goal is to provide a safe space where you feel comfortable discussing your private and intimate concerns, as well as be informed about your pelvic floor, which has so many important and normal functions that help support our entire body. It’s kind of like Vegas, what happens in the treatment room, stays in the treatment room.
What if I’m on my period?
No problem! There is no reason to reschedule your visit.
How do I schedule?

Are there forms I need to fill out prior to my first visit?
All forms will be emailed to you prior to your visit. Please fill them out before your appointment, so we can spend the Evaluation time focused on your care and not on paperwork.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
Kansas is a direct access state, so you do not need a referral to receive physical therapy. However, it is beneficial for you to have a medical care provider that we can coordinate care with to best help you heal.
Do you take insurance?
Webb Physical Therapy is Out of Network (OON) with insurance companies. This allows us to provide our patients the best care, determined by their individual treatment needs and goals. We are fee for service, which means you pay an upfront cost at the time of service, and will never receive another bill for that treatment. We will provide you a superbill with all PT codes (CPT codes) which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement varies depending on your insurance company. We accept health savings accounts (HSA) or a flexible spending accounts (FSA) in addition to cash payments.
