Thinking About Fertility Support? Here’s What to Know About Mercier Therapy

Trying to conceive (TTC) can come with more questions than answers. For some, it happens easily. For others, it feels like a maze of stress, appointments, and uncertainty.

If you’re looking for holistic fertility support — something that works with your body, not against it — Mercier Therapy might be the missing link.

What Is Mercier Therapy?

Mercier Therapy is a gentle, hands-on pelvic organ massage technique designed to improve blood flow, release restrictions, and support optimal pelvic function, especially the uterus and ovaries.

It’s not a replacement for fertility treatments. But it is a way to support your body’s natural rhythm, especially if you feel like your cycle or hormone balance is out of sync.

How It Works

Mercier Therapy is done externally, through a series of abdominal and pelvic massages tailored to each person. It focuses on areas that often hold tension, scar tissue, or congestion (things that can impact reproductive function without showing up on a test).

The therapy is typically done over six sessions, often alongside cycle tracking or other fertility support.

Who It’s For

This kind of therapy may be helpful if you:

  • Are trying to conceive and want to support your cycle naturally

  • Have a history of endometriosis, PCOS, or pelvic surgeries

  • Experience painful periods or ovulation

  • Feel disconnected from your pelvic area

  • Want to explore fertility options beyond medication or IVF

We’ve worked with people just starting to think about pregnancy, as well as those who’ve been trying for years. No matter your path, this therapy is about giving you options, information, and support.

Why It’s Different From Other Fertility Support

Mercier Therapy doesn’t “force” anything to happen. Instead, it supports the body’s ability to function well by improving circulation, reducing tension, and reconnecting you with how your pelvis actually feels.

It can complement medical fertility treatments or stand on its own. The goal isn’t just pregnancy — it’s to help you feel empowered in your journey.

Why Local Access Matters

There aren’t many certified Mercier Therapy providers in the northeast Kansas region and we’re proud to offer it right here in Lawrence. That means no long drives, no rushed appointments, and a practitioner who takes time to know your story.

This therapy is offered as a separate service from physical therapy, but we often work collaboratively if pelvic floor therapy is also recommended.
